General description of the collection: The Northwestern remembrances: the war years and NU's response, volumes I and II, contains 2 volumes of a World War II (WWII) commemorative by Northwestern University. The 1st volume is a compilation of memories submitted by Northwestern University (NU) alumni prior to June 1992. The second volume is a compilation of memories submitted by NU alumni prior to 1993. These are a part of a four year program from 1992-1995 that the Northwestern Alumni Association instituted to commemorate the university's commitment to, and alumni participation in, WWII.
